Those who fight alongside Blaidd during the Radahn Festival will remember him as an invaluable ally due to the significant contributions he is able to make to the conflict. Blaidd will never be able to reach Nokron as he had planned to due to the fact that Radahn will be vanquished and the stars will fall, thereby allowing a meteor to open the way there. He is currently being held captive in an evergaol by Iji, who is unsure of the level of threat he currently poses to his allies. Blaidd will eventually reappear at Three Sisters in an aggressive state, at which point the player will be compelled to finish him off and kill him for good.
Blaidd was unable to evade this reality in the end because he was a Shadowbound Beast that had been created for the sole purpose of serving an Empyrean. Ranni's objective while she is in Nokron is to acquire the Fingerslayer Blade so that she can kill her own Two Fingers and advance her plot against The Greater Will. However, Shadows such as Blaidd are essentially programmed to kill their master in the event that they are betrayed, and Ranni's goal is to kill her own Two Fingers. The fact that he was able to keep his sanity for such a considerable amount of time after the Night of Black Knives is already an anomaly in and of itself, given that his devotion to Ranni was strong enough for him to defy the directives of his own maker. He fights until the very end, only giving in reluctantly as he transforms into yet another evil Baleful Shadow of The Greater Will.
Even though Blaidd's unending devotion to Ranni is something to be admired, it seems that Ranni herself plays a more complex role in his life. Even though she was unaware that Blaidd was being held captive by Iji, she still sent her signature Black Knife Assassins to eliminate him in the end. This strongly suggests that she was aware of the eventual outcome that would befall him. On the way to the conclusion of Elden Ring's Age of Stars storyline, all of Ranni's followers are killed, so the price that she pays in blood is not a small one. It is highly unlikely that Ranni would have ever done the same for Blaidd as he did for his master, despite the fact that Blaidd was willing to defy the purpose for which he was created.
